1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules and standards of behaviour that apply to all users of the BowerNest platform. It is designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and productive environment for all participants, including apprentices, employers, educators, and other stakeholders.
2. General Conduct
All users of the BowerNest platform must:
- comply with all applicable Commonwealth, State, and Territory laws and regulations;
- provide accurate and truthful information in all interactions with the platform;
- treat all other users with respect and professionalism;
- use the platform only for its intended purposes; and
- report any concerns about safety, misconduct, or misuse to BowerNest.
3. Prohibited Activities
Users must not:
- submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information;
- impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity;
- harass, bully, intimidate, or threaten any other user;
- post or transmit any content that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, or discriminatory;
- use the platform to distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the platform;
- use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the platform without prior written consent from BowerNest;
- collect or harvest personal information of other users without their consent;
- use the platform for any commercial purpose not authorised by BowerNest; or
- engage in any activity that could damage, disable, or impair the platform or interfere with any other user's experience.
4. Employer-Specific Obligations
Employers using the BowerNest platform must:
- provide accurate and current information about their business, including ABN, licensing, and insurance details;
- ensure that all job listings and apprenticeship opportunities are genuine, lawful, and comply with applicable workplace laws;
- maintain safe working conditions in accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation;
- comply with all obligations under the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and relevant State or Territory apprenticeship legislation; and
- not engage in any form of exploitation, underpayment, or mistreatment of apprentices.
5. Apprentice-Specific Obligations
Apprentices using the BowerNest platform must:
- provide accurate information about their qualifications, training status, and work experience;
- use the platform in good faith for the purpose of finding and managing apprenticeship opportunities;
- report any safety concerns, workplace issues, or misconduct through the appropriate channels on the platform; and
- comply with the terms and conditions of any apprenticeship arrangement facilitated through the platform.
6. Enforcement
BowerNest reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation of this Acceptable Use Policy and to take appropriate action, which may include:
- issuing a warning to the user;
- temporarily suspending the user's access to the platform;
- permanently terminating the user's account;
- removing or disabling access to any content that violates this policy; and
- reporting the matter to relevant authorities where appropriate.
BowerNest will endeavour to provide notice before taking enforcement action, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the safety or security of users or the platform.
7. Reporting
If you become aware of any activity that violates this Acceptable Use Policy, please report it to [email protected]. All reports will be treated confidentially and investigated promptly.
